Think sky commentator during first game at m utd made a comment when noble was substituted.Something like 'Over 400 games for west ham, maybe its catching up with him a bit'.Seems that everyone else can see noble just isn't good enough except his manager.

Top lad and been a loyal servant but the time has now come to give the armband to someone else and pick a team that has energy and drive. Sadly Noble no longer has either.

Kouyate Obiang Antonio Sakho Lanzini & Hernandez for Huddersfield please.

So (apart from Bilic) it's generally accepted that Mark is pretty much finished as a 1st team regular, and that he's probably only fit for the bench now. The trouble is, thanks to the largesse and rank stupidity of the porn dwarf he still has 3 years of his very lucrative contract to see out.
I don't want to sound like a smart arse, but I forecast this when he signed it and got roundly cunted off.

Re: Lawrenson spot on
It's becoming a well known fact. Sadly it's only going to end one way. There's been much more bitterness in interviews from Noble over the last season or so, and if he's not careful there could be a Nolan-esque ending for someone who has been a great servant to the club.

He's absolute fucking toilet now. Gold and Sullivan must be tearing their hair out having to watch him amble around.

Re: Lawrenson spot on
It's beyond a joke now that he keeps getting picked. At least with Nolan he would knock you a goal.
He is so lacking in pace and I've said it a number of times he is a liability on the pitch now.
He can't get around, his recovery is so slow and he offers little going forward.
I don't take no satisfaction in slating the guy off because you know his heart is still very much in the club but for the good of the team Bilic has to ditch they guy now.

I'm not sure how these contracts work, but couldn't he see out this season as a bit part player and then move him back room/coaching staff for the final two years?

Noble was lucky to get a game last season never mind this.

play him as a sweeper - he'd be great in that role

Re: Lawrenson spot on
Exactly right and we can all see it, Billic surely does as he substitutes Noble regularly now but is too nice to drop him?!?
It's these devcisions that show he isn't the right man, his persistence with Antonio at RB (a man who he only started playing due to massive injuries) an inability to buy players that fit the team/style he wants (he just buys wingers mostly) are just the tip of the iceberg.
On an aside why was Rice considered good enough to start two Prem games yet the same aged and some would say better Reece Oxford played equally well in one game, then is ignored then farmed off to Germany!!??

Re: Lawrenson spot on
The smart thing would be to start easing Nobel in to a 1st team coaching role in return for him surrendering the captains armband. His value around the club, in the dressing room etc isn't in question but he is in danger of squandering the high regard in which he is held through his poor performances.

Re: Lawrenson spot on
Who leads in midfield without Noble?

Obiang, Kouyaté, Fernandes, Lanzini, Declan Rice? Obiang's the only choice now that Nordtveit's gone and he didn't do too well last season when Noble was absent.

Noble is on the field as much for his influence on the players as his play.
